Artwork statement
‘The Seed that Has Become a Flower’
Ever since I was small, I have really loved to draw this specific flower. I believe it has been a guide for me in becoming whole. Life is so beautiful, and because I am a part of it, beauty lies within the expressionists we call human beings, all living unapologetically. This flower is the essence of my inner child, displaying peace, love, trust, and most importantly, expression. I draw it when I feel stressed, happy, lost, angry, and creative.
This piece is my spirit animal; yes, it is a flower, but it's alive, thriving, and continues to evolve as I do. Expanding with more detailed petals, and longer roots, it shimmers in the sun with even more colourful hues gracing its petals.
The evolution of thought, life, and expression always begins with one seed.
