The Experience
What is Illuminarium and what can I expect?
Illuminarium is a fully immersive experience that transports you to a new world using high-resolution interactive projection, 3D audio, in-floor vibration, and scent systems. Each experience lasts approximately 45–60 minutes. Guests can expect to walk through a cinematic environment that feels real—no VR goggles needed! Content varies by experience; check our website for current shows.
Is it like a museum or an exhibit?
No—Illuminarium is neither a museum nor an exhibit. It’s an immersive experience that surrounds you in a storytelling environment. Think of it as a virtual reality experience, but without the headset.
How long is the experience?
Each show runs approximately 50–55 minutes.
Can I leave and come back?
No re-entry is allowed once your ticket has been scanned.
Yes, your Day Pass allows you to re-enter anytime on the day of your admission. Illuminarium tickets are not valid for Alura or multiple days.
Is Illuminarium appropriate for children?
Yes! Most experiences are family-friendly unless otherwise stated. Please check the website for experience-specific age recommendations.
Are strollers permitted inside the venue?
Strollers are not permitted in the experience space and must be parked in designated areas.
Is Illuminarium wheelchair accessible?
Yes, Illuminarium is fully ADA compliant and accessible for all guests.
What is the dress code? What should I wear?
We offer a family-friendly environment; as such, attire that is considered inappropriate or that could detract from the experience of other Guests will not be permitted. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and shoes as the experience involves walking and standing.
Are food and drinks available?
Yes, Illuminarium has food and beverage options available for purchase before or after your experience.
Can I bring outside food or drink?
No outside food or drinks are allowed inside the venue.
Can I take photos or videos?
Yes! Non-flash photography and videos are encouraged. Share your experience with us by tagging @illuminarium.
Do you offer sensory-friendly or low-sensory experiences?
We periodically offer sensory-friendly showtimes. Check the website or contact guest services for the latest schedule.
Is there somewhere to store bags, jackets, or personal items?
No, all personal items must be kept with you at all times.

How do I book a group?
Groups of 10+ guests can book discounted tickets through our Group Sales team. Visit our Groups page or email groups@illuminarium.com.
What’s the minimum size to book a group event?
Group pricing starts at 10 guests. For private rentals, larger minimums may apply.
Do you offer school field trips?
Yes! We offer discounted educational programming for school groups. Contact our Groups team for more info.
Can I host a birthday party or special event?
Yes! Illuminarium offers private event spaces for birthdays, corporate events, and other celebrations. Visit our Events page for details.
Are group tickets refundable or exchangeable?
Group tickets are non-refundable. Date/time changes may be permitted with advance notice, based on availability. Contact the Groups team for assistance.

Do you offer any discounts?
No—there are no discounts at this time. But please check out our social platforms for any new announcements.
Can I bring a service animal?
Service animals trained to assist guests with disabilities are welcome. Emotional support animals and pets are not permitted.
What should I do if I lose something while visiting Illuminarium?
Please visit the box office. Lost items are held for a limited time.
Miscellaneous
What is your refund policy?
All tickets are non-refundable. Please ensure the date and time of your ticket before purchase.
What happens if I’m late for my showtime?
We will do our best to accommodate late arrivals, but entry may be delayed depending on capacity and showtime availability.
Can I bring a camera or recording equipment?
Personal phones and cameras are allowed except for the Rolling Stone Presents: Amplified Experience. Professional cameras/equipment require prior approval.
